Inventor Mobility After the Fall of the Berlin Wall

A study found that post-Berlin Wall, East German inventors in tech fields with access to Western knowledge were more likely to continue inventing, while those from strong socialist-supporting communities were less likely to continue patenting but more likely to move to West Germany.
